Miss Porter’s House is open on Australia Day and the second Sunday of each month from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm except January.

We are also open by appointment for group tours, School tours and/or Tea and Tours (for 8 or more people).

Ghost Tour and Historic West End Walk

Can you sit still in a darkened room and listen for things that go bump in the night? Newcastle Ghost Tours has special permission to conduct paranormal investigations at Miss Porter’s House. Tours commence at 7pm with a historical street walk where you will explore the area including Cottage Creek Cemetery sites going down to Wickham Station and returning for extended time in the house. Learn aspects of paranormal investigating from an intuitive and technical viewpoint.
